do you have senior citizen discounts.
On October 1, 2011 we were down for the US Open king mackeral tournament and stopped in for the first time. My wife ate tuna and I had a seafood platter I can say
we will be back. From the waitress to the quality of food we were satisfied. When we are down we will be a return customer.
My brothers, sisters and I vacation at Oak Island 1st a year. Th
is is the first time we have tried the Alantic (9-28-11) and it has now became our favorite restaurant in the area! From the food to the service, everything was excellent! Thanks so much for the good time, good memories and good food.
i would really love to have a coupon. been there so many times and enjoyed it every time.
Sept. 5, 2011
There were seven ladies in our party for Saturday night 9/3 at the Atlantic, we had a variety of dishes, marinated chicken, steak, fish and shrimp. Everything was delicious we had an excellent waiter his name was Ted or Teddy, my sister kept calling him Teddy he did an excellent job; (give him a raise) This is not the first time we have been there we always go to Atlantic when we are in town, friendly staff and excellent food; especially the desserts the coconut cake is my favorite.
We will be back soon.
Recently we were looking for a place to have a wedding rehersal dinner. Several other area restaraunts would not reserve seating for approximately 20-30 people because it was the tourist season; difficult to hear when you are a local and your money helps to keep the local businesses afloat during off-season. When we spoke to Victoria she was extremely nice, very accommodating, went out of her way to ensure that we had a private area for seating, even worked with us on a “special” menu. We had Ted as our waiter and he did a wonderful job, dealing with adults AND children. The food was excellent and Ted delivered it all up with a smile. We have been to your restaraunt several times before and since and the food has always been consistently good. Thanks for all the help from your staff!
My husband and I ate the fillet flounder there tonight. It was the best ever! The hushpuppies were delicious and your ice tea was perfect too. Thanks for such a tasty dinner!
My wife and I have been in several times. We have never had a bad experience. I saw some comments about Ted, he is by far the best of the best as far as wait staff. Your manager Victoria is a gem, whatever it takes to keep her you need to do it. Are food comes out hot and the order correct. We look forward to eating there every time we come down, and thats a regular occurance. You have the best restraunt in the area by far, keep the good people and keep a great restraunt.
Happy you came to our neck of the woods because your food is good and the servings
ample. One complaint. Ribs (one of my very favorites) was on your menu for a short
time and they were very good. Suddenly, they were gone! Please bring them back!!
Our Sojourners group, St. Andrews Covenant Pres. Ch, Wilmington, is planning an outing May 19 and we are looking for a place which can serve 40 people for lunch. We are to have a talk by Captain Bart Felton and a tour of the Oak Island Lighthouse. Is your opening time flexible enough to feed us earlier than 4PM? And do you have a group menu? What do you charge? Hope to hear from you soon, Ann Daniluk
Finaly! A place where the locals can get great food and excellent service at a fair price! I hope ya’ll last thru these tryin times. With the closeing of Surfers and others on the brink, my family and I will vist you as much as we can.
Heather & Phil, thanks for giving us the opportunity to serve you again. I’ll make sure to give Ted an “ata boy”
NICE!!! No complaints. The place was clean, the staff friendly and on time. Next time, I’ll need to make sure I go in hungry, because the portions are HUGE!!
Good Job, guys.
I visited your restaurant today 5-16-2010 and was very pleased. The low country chowder was great, the shrimp and grits as good as I have had anywhere. The others in my party had fried seafood combos. The portion size was plentiful and quality was what I would expect. I once was a seafood cook myself and like to think I know good southern and Calabash style seafood. If you add to the menu I would enjoy a seafood gumbo on rice I have a good recipe but I am sure you have that covered.
Thanks
Lee
Just wanted to tell you about our recent visit to Atlantic. My husband and I were skeptical about coming back to your restaurant due to our 1st visit which did not go over so well.
But this time we were totally amazed by the service, our waiter Ted changed our minds about your establishment, He was very courteous and knowledgeable.
Though I wish that there were more non seafood items on the menu, we will defiantly be back due to your wait staff.
Thank you Ted for a great experience. (Give that man a raise!)
My husband and I ate there this evening and I can truthfully say this is ABSOLUTELY
the BEST seafood restaurant in the area.
We had Butterfly shrimp and Oysters with trimmings.
This is the most wonderful seafood meal we have enjoyed since moving here 6 years from Tybee Island (Savannah Georgia Area).
It by far beats any of the local restaurants and Calabash..
How lucky we are to FINALLY have a first class Seafood Restaurant in the area with great cooks, quality food and a Clean, well planned dining environment.
We have been three times since you opened. So far, the food has been very good and just as important for locals, consistent. Our server on our last visit, was Whitney. She did and excellent job. We’ll be there again on Tuesday with our neighbors.
Eric, we did not make any structural changes to the restrooms so they are the same as before. I hope that you and your wife will still have an opportunity to visit but understand you’re concerns. Thanks
I have not yet tried your restaurant but would like to. I do have 1 question though. My wife and I are both in wheelchairs and although the restaurant is accessible my biggest concern is the public restrooms. Did you do any renovations to those to make them accommodate wheelchairs. I have asked each and every owner of the building before you and no one would do anything about it. Most were very rude about it. As it was before I could not even get into the stall in the mens room. It would make it a much easier decision to eat there knowing we had facilities to use if needed. Thank you
BEST STEAKS AROUND!!!!!
I had the Sirloin center cut and have not seen a better cut of steak ANYWHERE in the Oak Island Southport area!!!
I had the marinated chicken yesterday. Delish! more than I could eat, so I have leftovers for lunch today. I saw a piece of cake go by my table that was big enough to feed 3. Reese Peanut butter cake according to our waitress. I’ll be back soon to try it.
